So many ideas, so little time...

Before I can generate the perfect Essential Question, I have to make up my mind about which topic to pursue in the classroom this fall. The big topic has to with getting my students to think realistically about independent living in the community. A more immediate topic, or at least more time sensitive, is Election 2008. I want to teach the process of electing a U.S. President, and I want my students to put some thought into why one candidate is a better choice than the other.
The second topic will fit well into the timeline of this course, and they may have come to a decision by our last class!

I love the election idea! And doesn't it fit in with living independently, in a way, as voting is a life skill of sorts? (I'm not sure their is a "perfect" essential question, but I am sure you'll come up with a great one.)
See you next week.
